Referendum04 is working in association with:

Democracy Movement
Marc Glendening, Campaign Director of the Democracy Movement says:

"The EU Constitution will have even more far-reaching consequences than the euro - not just on the economy and public services but also on criminal justice, foreign policy, social and employment policies. If it was right to subject the single currency to five tests and the promise of a referendum before committing Britain to entry, then the EU Constitution should likewise have to face a full, public examination of its political and economic magnitude."

Liberal Party
Steve Radford, Chairman of the Liberal Party says:

"The Prime Minister would have us believe the new EU constitution has no significance in changing our legal standing as a nation state. We can only presume he has not read it or maybe has had a severe memory lapse. The great Liberal Party Prime Minister Gladstone coined the phrase "trust the people" - this government's motto should be "dupe the MPs, ignore the people."

Campaign for an Independent Britain
Lord Stoddart of Swindon, National Chairman of CIB says:

"It is unacceptable and quite intolerable that the Constitution if this country should be changed, without the people having the opportunity to say 'yea' or 'nay'. The Prime Minister's response is typical of his mindset - "Trust me, and will be well". But we have learnt that we cannot trust him."

Freedom Association
Christopher Gill, Chairman of the Freedom Association says:

"Unless the British people are consulted and acquiesce in the decision to adopt the EU Constitution there will inevitably be, at some point in the future, civil unrest leading to possible anarchy. To avoid such an appalling and entirely preventable situation it behoves all lovers of freedom and believers in democracy to unite in demanding a referendum before the Treaty is ratified. Nothing less will do".
