| Dear all, | ||
| Many thanks to everyone who assisted in Referendum04's Campaign, whether you are an individual, a group or an organisation. | ||
| By applying pressure we have, with others, forced the Prime Minister to make a U-turn and concede to a Referendum on the European Constitution. | ||
| It proves that the collective will of the people can change things despite the odds stacked against, and we can all raise a collective glass and toast our success. | ||
| We will now begin preparations for the real debate, the one we have been denied for nearly thirty years, and the people need to understand question, "Are you prepared to share the governance of your nation ?" | ||
| Although it does not need to get more complicated than that, it undoubtedly will, and we will help to simplify the arguments. | ||
| We will keep everyone informed of developments. | ||

Many thanks and please pass on thanks from all of us to everyone who signed and worked the petitions, visited or wrote to MP's, wrote to the papers and handed out literature. Without the commitment, dedication and sacrifice of many volunteers we would not have achieved what we have. |
